Dr. Imran S. Khawaja is a board-certified psychiatrist and a sleep medicine specialist, who is considered a national leader in the area of sleep and mental health. He has published more than 100 articles, including peer-reviewed articles, review articles, case reports, editorials, and book chapters. Dr. Khawaja has trained numerous medical students, psychiatry residents, and sleep medicine fellows. He has more than 15 years of experience working in academic /medical universities.
Dr. Khawaja is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma. He has been on faculty at the University of North Dakota, University of Minnesota, Baylor College of Medicine, and UTSW and continues to teach at several of these universities. Dr. Khawaja has been a course director of a full day course on sleep medicine for psychiatrists at the American Psychiatric Association (APA) for five years and has given many talks to audiences from all backgrounds. He has been interviewed by Minnesota NPR and several other news channels on the impact of sleep problems on our lives.
Dr. Khawaja has received numerous awards, including a Bush Medical Fellowship award in 2008. He completed his residency from Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College, NY, and his fellowship in sleep medicine from the world-famous Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.His areas of expertise include, but not limited to, the following: Mood Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, Post-traumatic stress disorder, Psychotic disorders.
Also, he is an expert in sleep disorders including the following: Insomnia, Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), Narcolepsy, Hypersomnia disorders, RLS, Circadian rhythm disorders (Shift work disorder, Jet Lag, Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome), Central Sleep apnea and Parasomnias (REM Behavior Disorder, Sleepwalking, Night Terrors, etc.) Dr. Khawaja brings excellence in evidence-based treatment for the management of psychiatric disorders and sleep disorders and is well-experienced in the management of complex pharmacological protocols. Dr. Khawaja brings the experience of a teacher, the expertise of a top-rated clinician and researcher, and the rigor of academic medicine to his private practice in Grapevine, TX at MD TruCare.Dr. Khawaja resides in Southlake, TX, along with his family. He enjoys running, reading, and writing in his spare time.
He has been a regular guest editor for Psychiatric Annals, which is one of the most-read CME journals among psychiatrists in the US. He has given more than 100 talks, grand rounds, and keynote talks all across the US and abroad. He has published several books, two in academics for psychiatrists, entitled, “Co-Morbid Sleep and Psychiatric Disorders” and “Sleep Disorders in Selected Psychiatric Settings” both published by the Springer publisher. Dr. Ebrahim is board certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine. She graduated from King Edward Medical College, Pakistan, where she received a gold medal and distinction in Anatomy. Hannah Collins is a board-certified physician assistant (PA-C). She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Baylor University before attending University of North Texas Health Science Center to earn her Master degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
Before becoming a PA, Hannah worked at an assisted living and dementia care facility and learned the importance of mental health in people of all ages. She values quality patient care and evidence-based medicine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
Sarah Garcia is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Her professional journey reflects her unwavering commitment to evidence-based care, extensive experience in medical and psychiatric settings, and expertise in treating common and complex mental health disorders across diverse populations. Sarah’s special interests include: psychotic disorders, mood disorders, disruptive/impulse-control/conduct disorders, and the pediatric population. Sarah dedicated 15 years to the hospital setting where she provided comprehensive care to patients battling various illnesses. Her nursing journey originated in 2009 then later advanced after earning a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington specializing in the delivery of evidence-based medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions for children, adults, and geriatrics facing mental health illnesses in the served and underserved populations. Sarah acquired skills in treating complex mental illnesses and substance addiction at a public hospital treating adults under court order and at an addiction medicine clinic. Her knowledge of pediatric, adult, and geriatric psychiatry expanded at non-profit mental health organizations and private practice clinics. Sarah’s therapy training centered on solution-focused therapy and animal-assisted therapy. Beyond her professional endeavors, Sarah enjoys cooking for her loved ones and spending time with her 3 beloved cats.
Vivek Poudel obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and his Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington. He is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He has over 12 years of experience with patients with various demographics, as a Registered Nurse at a busy teaching hospital in Dallas. When not in office, Vivek enjoys spending time in spending time with family, volunteering and travelling. Vivek is dedicated in providing comprehensive and evidence based excellent care to the patients.
Maryam Sajjad is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The University of Texas at Arlington. She obtained a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health from Walden University. Maryam is a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a profound commitment to providing holistic mental health care. Her journey in the field of psychiatry has been driven by a deep-seated passion for improving the lives of individuals grappling with mental health challenges. Maryam is dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and advocating for accessible and equitable mental health services within our communities.
One of her favorite ways to unwind is by immersing herself in the world of literature. Engaging in physical activities, such as yoga or a good workout, is an essential part of her routine.
Aanchal Rajagopal is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. She completed her Master of Science in Counseling at California State University, Los Angeles. She also has an undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy. Aanchal has several years of experience working with individuals of all ages experiencing anxiety, depression, substance-abuse, relationship issues, grief, trauma, and other mental health conditions. In addition to the United States, she has gained experience working in hospitals in the United Kingdom and India.

My name is Naomi Powell. I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at MD Trucare. I believe that everyone should be their best selves; free from depression, anxiety, and other things that keep them down. I am passionate about our youth and their mental health.
I’ve worked as a nurse for 17 years. I have had many nursing roles which include mental health nursing, progressive care, emergency services, correctional health, and school nursing. I am also a nursing school instructor. My goal is to help mold the students into excellent nurses who we can trust to care for us as we age.
I have a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master of Science in nursing degree from Western Governors University, and a Post Masters Certificate in Mental Health (PMHNP) from Wilkes University.
I am a wife and a mother. I have 2 beautiful grandchildren who are my absolute favorite people in the world. In my free time I enjoy reading and watching happy movies on Hallmark.
